The Challenge

A regional agricultural operation required the installation of deep water bores to support irrigation and livestock infrastructure in drought-prone areas of Central Queensland.
The site consisted of mixed alluvials, silts, and fractured sandstone – difficult ground for maintaining borehole stability and achieving sustainable flow.

Our Solution

Using a mud rotary setup, Eco Drilling stabilised each bore with custom mud mixes and pressure control techniques. Casing was installed to specification and test pumping confirmed water access at target depth. The project also required minimal environmental impact, with reinstatement of grazing paddocks and access roads.

The Result

All bores were completed to design depth, pressure tested, and commissioned with strong recharge and reliable flow rates. The client gained year-round water security, and we were asked to scoop additional sites.
